TEACHER READING
Drills and dialogues are among the most traditional materials used by language
teachers. The content of drills and dialogues and how much we use them has
changed considerably over the years. This is because teachers and materials developers have been paying more and more attention to ways of providing students
with meaningful materials and content that allow them to engage in “real” communication. Role plays and plays, which are often forms of extended dialogues, are
part of the repertoire of practice activities and materials.

Last week I asked the class to bring a photo or have a photo
that they would show to the class to and explain
by using simple past and a time phrase. I took photos with an
iPad of the photos on their phones and then projected them.
Agueda's son graduated from Columbia University last year.
Eridana cooked dinner for her family last night.
Emilia visited a zoo with her children last summer.
Jeff went apple picking with his family last fall.
Sandra ate at a restaurant with friends and family at City Island over the weekend.
This activity was fun, simple to do, and utilized the grammar.
Please send me pictures, and be sure to include the branch name and level. I need them by the end of the business day on Wednesday. If I already have enough submissions for the week- that just means your pictures will be published the next week. Personally, I think the pictures that you share are the best part of the blog.

In case you haven't noticed, Google knows a lot about what you're doing in Google Drive. In fact, according to their latest announcement about Google Drive, Google knows which files in your Google Drive are most important to you right now. These will be shown to you on a new page in Google Drive that Google is calling the "priority page." Priority page will start rolling out to users this week.
