Veterans Day is observed on November 11 each year, originally in commemoration of the armistice of World War I. Use TeacherVision's cross-curricular Veterans Day lessons, printables, and resources to help students understand the contributions veterans have made to the country. There are Veterans Day worksheets to honor heroes, facts about flags, pop-up art books to make, literature guides, patriotic songs, historical references, and many more educational activities for your students of all grade levels.

In the middle of the exercise, you suddenly realize it; once again, the wicked coursebook writers have included a question where no rule can be applied. You start panicking because you didn’t check the answer key. You never do with pre-intermediate classes, not for trivial grammar exercises like this one. The trouble is that both answers seem perfectly ok to you.

CLASSROOM SHOWCASE
Hope you’re having a good week! I just joined the library and started teaching an intermediate class at Hunt’s Point, wanted to share some photos from this week.
As part of our Civics unit we spent a couple of days discussing The Constitution and The Bill of Rights. Last night the students focused on the First Amendment by looking at historical photos and working in groups to decide what the story was and how the people were exercising their freedoms.
