Dear Colleagues,

Amid the uncertainty of COVID-19 and the guidance that we should limit in person gatherings, we have decided not to offer onsite flu shots this fall. However, we strongly encourage everyone to get the vaccine this year.

Flu shots are anticipated to be in stock at doctors' offices, pharmacies, and supermarkets by early September. Although flu activity normally peaks between December and February, and health officials do not yet know how COVID-19 will affect the flu season, we want you to start thinking now about when, how, and where you'll get immunized against the flu this year.

Doctor’s Office

You can contact your doctor’s office to schedule an appointment to get the flu shot.  There is no copayment for nonunion staff enrolled in UnitedHealthcare plans. Most city plans cover the vaccine at no copayment in network.

Pharmacies

Flu shots are administered at many pharmacies. Please check with your pharmacy to see which insurances they accept.

Find a Flu Shot Near You! 

Vaccine Finder is a free, online service where users can search for nearby locations that offer vaccinations. They work with partners such as clinics, pharmacies, and health departments to provide accurate and up-to-date information about vaccination services.
