Lianne Smith brought to our attention that breakingenglishnews.com has been redesigned and now includes articles and activities for different levels!
It's a great asset to use as a warm-up or activity in class, and also something students can work with at home, once they've been introduced to the site in class.

PRONUNCIATION RESOURCES
There's an interesting new website put together by John Levis and Sinem Sonsaat from Iowa State University.
In an email, they wrote:
Please check it out and help us improve it. We intend this to be a clearinghouse for interesting information about the field of second language pronunciation. We have begun to populate the site with some of the information that we had at hand. We are counting on you to help us develop the site. We need information and links about
Resources
Conferences (preferably before they happen)
Websites (these should be solid resources, not advertisements)
People (send a picture and a blurb about you, in line with those we already have, along with links to your work on sites like ResearchGate, Academia, or Google Scholar)
Current book or software reviews you have done
Interesting videos (along with a brief description of what the video is good for)
Organizations that are relevant to L2 pronunciation research and teaching
Research resources (We have included a link to Peter Roach’s bibliography on timing and rhythm to start this out)

GOOGLE DRIVE HELP
Feel like you could use a little refresher on how to navigate Google Drive? No better place to look than the Google resource page itself here: Google Drive Help
Do any of you use the app Quizlet? I had been meaning to do a piece on it myself, then the Free Technology for Teachers website had something on it too. Read about it here: FTfT: Quizlet
It's a great way to work on vocabulary with your students. I found a two-minute video on YouTube for a quick tutorial on how to get started:
In fact, teachers (and students) have already made sets (on zillions of topics) and shared them for public use. Here's a link to sets already made about work: Quizlet: Work
What I love about Quizlet is there are different ways for students to study a set of terms. There are games and tests, Quizlet even has an audio feature that will read the card out to you.
