| Do you have the Teacher's Edition(s) of the Ventures book(s) you use in class? They are a really great resource and do a lot of the work for you. Have a look here: Teacher's Edition 1, Lesson 4 Let your Hub Manager know if you need one. Would you like to give your students a written assessment? Did you know Ventures already has one? You could use any or all, depending on your level: Placement Test |
Earlier this month some of us attended the TESOL 2016 International Convention in Baltimore, Maryland. It was a great few days. TESOL professionals from around the world gathered to present information about research, model best practices, and share resources.
We all attended different sessions that were of interest to us. We will share as much as we can here and in upcoming blog posts. To begin, Elizabeth shares information about a session on pronunciation and the color vowel chart.
THE COLOR VOWEL CHART
Are you familiar with the color vowel chart? It's a really great way to work on pronunciation with your students.
Read some information about it here: Color Vowel Chart. I first attended their session at TESOL, but then I signed up for a free online mentoring session here: Mentoring Support. The creators of the chart took personal time with me (online) to answer any questions I had and even model some teaching tips. They even share free teaching resources here: Shop.

| This session, we would like to share Warm Up Activities in each blog post. We need input from YOU, our teachers! Is there an activity you love doing? This 4 hour training is targeted for full time staff that hold initial certification.
